Spartanburg entrepreneur launches financial planning venture
Source: Herald-Journal, Spartanburg, S.儲存倉C.Oct. 19--A local entrepreneur has launched a new financial planning venture aimed at helping families create wealth and plan for their futures.Kenneth Vaughn has opened a First Financial Security office at 627 W. Main St. Suite A, near downtown Spartanburg.Vaughn said he will offer his customers several products, including indexed universal life insurance, whole and term life insurance, as well as fixed and indexed annuities. His providers include Illinois Mutual Life Insurance Co., American National Insurance Co., National Life Group and American Equity Investment Life Holding Co."I am very excited," said Vaughn, who moved to Spartanburg from Alamogordo, N.M., in 2008. "I grew up poor, and I have always had the desire to help people. Getting into the insurance field was the best thing for me. It gave me the opportunity to open up avenues to help people save and build wealth."Vaughn, 28, was born in Phoenix. He moved with his family to Artesia, N.M., and then Hobbs, N.M., before settling in Alamogordo.In 2004, Vaughn left for Nebraska to attend college but ended up joining the workforce. Six years later, he became a licensed financial prof迷你倉最平ssional and later began working in insurance.An avid sportsman, Vaughn was nearly sidelined a few years ago by a spinal condition that limited his mobility. He was on crutches two years ago but has regained his freedom of movement through a combination of regular exercise and holistic treatments.Last week, his wife gave birth to the couple's first child, a girl.Vaughn said he understands more than ever the importance of helping families and businesses maximize their earning and saving potential.One of his biggest goals is to earn his client's trust through integrity, transparency, education and positive results."I don't like to tell people. I like to show them through my actions," Vaughn said. "I'm up to the challenge. ... I'm a people person.
