Robber gets car wash customer's jewelry' but car's clutch spoils getaway

Source: The Fayetteville Observer, N.迷你倉出租C.Jan. 23--A gunman shot a car wash customer and stole his jewelry Wednesday night, but he wasn't able to get away with another man's car because he didn't know how to drive it, Fayetteville police said.The second victim's vehicle has a manual transmission.Detectives are asking for the public's help in finding the thief.The robberies and shooting were reported at 5:49p.m., a news release said. The robber brandished his gun at a customer at the Carolina Clean car wash at 1933 Pamalee Drive and demanded his personal property.The victim struggled with the robber and got shot in the arm, and the robber took his jewelry. The victim's name was not released. The department said he was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center and is listed in stable condition.The robber ran away and went behind Pamalee Plaza, where he found another man in a vehicle. He brandished his gun at the driver demanded the car. The driver ran away for hel迷你倉; the thief got in the vehicle but couldn't drive it away because he didn't know how to operate its stick-shift transmission.He got out of the car and ran away.Police released still photos from the car wash's video surveillance system late Wednesday night.
