Golden Harvest set to begin annual Spooky to Be Hungry food drive

Source: The Augusta Chronicle, Ga.迷你倉價錢Aug. 30--Golden Harvest Food Bank is seeking volunteers for the 21st annual Spooky to Be Hungry food drive, its largest of the year.The goal is to collect 150,000 pounds of food and raise an additional $60,000 for Golden Harvest's programs.Last year, the food drive collected more than 113,000 pounds of food and more than $54,000.For every dollar donated, the food bank can distribute $7.88 worth of food."We are incredibly excited to launch this year's 'Spooky' food drive," Executive Director Travis McNeal said in a news release. "Golden Harvest is on pace to distribute 2 million more pounds of food this year, meaning we need much more help from our 'Spooky' food drive. Every year this drive gets bigger and bigger, which means we are able to benefit more families and grow our mission of Feeding Lives迷你倉Together."Volunteers can participate in everything from sorting food donations to serving as neighborhood captains.
