Times-News Acquires Mini-Cassia Weekly

Source: The Times-News, Twin Falls, IdahoAug.新蒲崗迷你倉 29--TWIN FALLS -- The Times-News has purchased The Voice, a weekly newspaper published in Burley, from owner and publisher Mike Ramsey."We are very excited to be increasing our presence in the Mini-Cassia area," said Travis Quast, publisher of the Times-News and a Burley native. "While we have had a daily presence in the community for a long time, adding a weekly newspaper that reaches every household allows us to serve our readers and customers better."Readers will not notice any immediate changes to The Voice. It still will be mailed to every house every week. Printing and production will move to the Times-News facility in Twin Falls. The current Voice staff will stay with the exception of Renee Wells, who is retiring at the end of August.Wells will continue writing a weekly column for The Voice."When Travis Quast, the publisher of the Times-News, and I sat down and he talked about what he would like to see The Voice become for the community, I knew we were on the exact same page, and I knew he had the resources to take it there," Ramsey said. "He gets our community. He grewmini storageup here. As a matter of fact, he lived across the street from where I was raised and worked at my grandfather's business."Over the next few months, the two companies will look for opportunities to improve coverage in print and online."I'm excited about the possibilities that Lee Enterprises brings to The Voice," Ramsey said.
