Ride stalls for thrill seekers
  More than 20 visitors were left stranded  on a roller coaster at a Shanghai theme  park after it malfunctioned.儲存  There were no reports of injuries.  The Wooden Coaster-Fireball ride at  Shanghai Happy Valley broke down at  around 1pm after a sensor malfunctioned  due to the hot weather. It reopened at  3.30pm. Technicians had been sent to restart  the roller-coaster so that riders could get  off. However, about 24 climbed down  steps on the side of the rails.  At least one visitor complained to the  park about the breakdown.  A Happy Valley spokesman 新蒲崗迷你倉aid that  a brake sensor malfunction had caused  the roller coaster to shut down mid-ride  about 20 meters above ground. It was not the first time the park has  had trouble with its rides, the Global  Times reported.  There were problems with the  Wooden Coaster-Fireball and another  roller coaster 12 times over a two-week  span after the park opened for a trial run  in August 2009. Six of the problems  stemmed from equipment malfunctions,  the Shanghai Morning Post said.  Happy Valley has monthly check-ups  of all rides, the spokesman said. ASHLEY WU mini storage
